Privacy Policy

Zynto is a growth coaching app that helps people improve through small useful reps, repetition, and recovery. This policy explains what data Zynto uses, how it is stored, and how optional Zynto AI works.

Data on your device

Zynto stores your onboarding answers, selected growth areas, readiness check-ins, daily reps, completion history, coach messages, and settings in Apple platform storage on your device. The local coach works without sending your messages to an AI service. Device backups may include this app data according to your Apple backup settings.

Readiness check-ins include sleep, stress, energy, mood, and available time. Your growth profile can include confidence, consistency, avoidance, and recovery. Zynto uses these signals to suggest a manageable daily action. They are not used for advertising.

Optional Zynto AI and OpenAI

Zynto AI is a monthly subscription for optional cloud coaching. Before cloud replies are enabled, the app asks for permission to share information with Nerdquad's Zynto Cloud service and OpenAI, our AI processing provider. Buying or restoring a subscription does not itself give this permission.

When cloud coaching is enabled and you send a message, Zynto sends that message together with your current challenge title and instructions, readiness score, pace, streak, completion rate, and coaching tone. This context helps OpenAI generate a relevant reply. Your full check-in history, full conversation history, and onboarding records are not included in the request. Information you choose to type into your message is included, so avoid sharing details you do not want processed by a cloud service.

Nerdquad's service processes coach messages and replies to answer the request; it does not save their content in its application database or operational analytics. Replies are saved in your local conversation history. OpenAI may retain API inputs and outputs for abuse monitoring for up to 30 days, unless a longer period is required by law. OpenAI's API data policy does not use API data for model training by default. See OpenAI's API data controls for details.

Security, purchases, and operational data

To authenticate cloud requests and prevent abuse, Zynto uses a randomly generated installation identifier, a device credential, Apple App Attest verification, and temporary session credentials. The server retains authentication records until they are deleted through support; temporary sessions expire. These identifiers do not contain your name or email address.

Apple handles subscription payments. We do not receive your payment card details. The app sends Apple's signed subscription proof to our server to check access to Zynto AI. The server verifies that proof for the request and does not save it in its application database or analytics.

Cloud operational records include hashed installation and session identifiers, the requested route, response status, timing, message and reply lengths, model usage, token counts, and error codes. We use them for reliability, usage measurement, and abuse prevention. These records are scheduled for deletion after 90 days through daily cleanup. Our hosting infrastructure also processes network information such as your IP address when you connect.

Your controls and deletion

You can turn off Zynto Cloud or turn on Privacy mode in Settings to stop future cloud coach requests. The local coach remains available. Turning off cloud coaching does not cancel an Apple subscription; manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.

Use Settings > Reset Local Data to remove local goals, baselines, challenges, check-ins, coach messages, and reviews. This does not delete existing server records or cancel your subscription. To request access to or deletion of cloud authentication or operational records, contact jerry@nerdquad.com. We may need information to identify your installation and verify the request. We retain information only as needed to provide the service, address security issues, or meet legal obligations.

Advertising and sharing

Zynto has no advertising SDKs or tracking pixels. We do not sell personal data or use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites. We share data with service providers only as needed to operate cloud coaching, authenticate requests, process purchases, and support the service.

Support requests

If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you include in the message. We use that information to answer your request and resolve the issue. Do not send passwords, payment card details, or information you do not want included in a support conversation.

Guidance and safety

Zynto provides general growth guidance. It does not provide medical, financial, legal, crisis, or emergency services. AI replies may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation. Seek qualified help for high-stakes decisions.
